• Tours-visit the school website(s) to schedule an online tour or call school to schedule.
• Open House Event-held in the fall each year at each of our schools. Request information to be added to the email list that announces the dates of the Open Houses. 

• Applications available on first Monday in November 2025 for the 2026-2027 school year. 
• To be considered in the Priority Admissions Round, applications and checklists must be COMPLETE (including ABC testing if required) by the following deadlines:
  • PK, TK and K Applicants - last day in January 2026 - Notifications via email:  3rd Friday in February
  • 1st-12th Applicants - last day in February 2026 - Notifications via email:  3rd Friday in March 
• For Priority Admission Round: 
  • TK and K - apply 3 weeks prior to the last day in January in order for ABC testing to be returned by deadline.
  • 1st - 8th - apply 3 weeks prior to the last day in February in order for ABC testing to be returned by deadline. 
• Once the Priority Admissions Round ends, applications will be considered on a rolling admissions basis.

• Priority Placement is given to students according to the following classifications in the Priority Admissions Round:
  • Siblings of current MACS students
  • Student of current faculty/staff of a MACS school
  • Participating Catholics of parish associated with the school and Participating Catholics of a parish without a school in Mecklenburg County and surrounding areas
  • Participating Catholics of parish with a school, however, applying to another school in Mecklenburg County and surrounding areas
  • Participating Catholics of a parish outside Mecklenburg County and surrounding areas
  • Non-participating Catholic and Community Members
• To have priority placement and be eligible for the Catholic tuition rate, your Catholic pastor must sign the Parish Participation Voucher, which can be found on the admissions checklist. Parish voucher must be uploaded to checklist by deadline for students to be given priority. 
• Catholic families transferring into the Charlotte area may also complete the Parish Participation Voucher or provide a letter from the pastor at their current parish stating that they are participating parishioners.

• Once the application fee is submitted, you will be prompted to log back into your MACS portal to view a checklist of items to be uploaded/completed.  The application will move forward in the admissions process once all checklist items are completed.
• Age Requirements for PK, TK, and K:
  • PK - your child must be 4 years old on or by August 31st
  • TK - your child must be 5 years old on or by October 15th
  • K - your child must be 5 years old on or by August 31st
• For Priority Admission Round:

  • Birth certificate
  • Baptismal certificate
  • Immunization record
  • Diocesan health form- download form from checklist and have physician complete and sign
  • PK Assessment for TK and K - to be completed by the current preschool teacher for all TK, K applicants

  • Current and prior year report cards
  • Current and prior year standardized testing
    • Student Record Release Request - complete to have the registrar at your student's school upload the report cards and standardized testing if you do not have those records

  • IEP (if applicable)
  • Principal and Teacher Recommendations for all 6th - 12th 
    • Principal recommendations to be completed by the principal/assistant principal/counselor
    • Teacher recommendations to be completed by the teacher of that particular course

  • ABC Testing for all TK-8th
    • Complete placement testing with ABC Educational Services. Once you have submitted the application fee, ABC will reach out to schedule your student(s) testing.

        • PPVT - Peabody Picture Vocabulary
        • Speech and Language Evaluations
      • 2nd - 8th:

    • NOTE: RELOCATING FAMILIES: Once the checklist is complete, the application will move forward for review and an admission decision will be offered. We allow our relocating families to complete their ABC testing upon relocation. Once the testing results are returned, should an Academic Achievement Plan be needed, one will be built at that time.        

Please note that an applicant’s file is not considered complete until all forms are uploaded, recommendations are completed (if applicable), and ABC testing is completed (if applicable, except for the relocating families – see note above).

  • Completed applications are reviewed and admission decisions are sent via email per the schedule above.  
  • Applications received during rolling admissions are reviewed as received and admission decisions are sent via email.  

Acceptance:  Students determined to be qualified to attend one of the MACS schools and show promise of not only benefiting from but also contributing to the school.  

Provisional Acceptances:  

• Testing Acceptance – Students not currently living in the Charlotte area and unable to complete the ABC Testing, may be provisionally accepted upon the condition that the ABC Testing is completed within 30 days of the relocation.
• Medical Acceptance – Students not current on their vaccines, may be provisionally accepted upon receiving the required vaccines prior to the start of school or within the first 30 days of the start of school. 
• Conditional Acceptance – Students that will benefit by participating in the Academic Achievement Program, will be accepted with the condition that the school and parents will partner in providing the support needed for the success of the student.  
• Wait Pool - Students determined to be qualified to attend one of the MACS schools, however, all available seats have been filled, will be offered a spot in the wait pool. Students may move out of the wait pool and accept an open seat in another MACS school.  The wait pool does not carryover from year to year.

NOTE:  All offers of acceptance are based on the successful completion of the student’s current year. Offers of acceptance may be rescinded.  

• Want to move forward with MACS?  Great!!  
• Students offered an acceptance will be sent enrollment instructions to secure their seat.  The enrollment steps must be completed by the date specified in order to secure the seat.  A non-refundable enrollment deposit must be submitted.  Seats not secured by completing enrollment by the specified date may lose their seat to a student from the wait pool or incur a late fee.  
• Regular payments will begin in June.  Several payment plans are available for paying the balance.
